[rs=2] | As an angel, Castiel has initially expressed very little emotion towards humans, and had no room for disobedience or feelings, as he was driven to follow orders. Although he has revealed some doubts about the morality of the orders given to him. After he arrived on earth, after spending time getting to know Dean Winchester, the man he saved from hell under God's orders, he began to feel empathy and even affection towards humans, particularly those closest to him. The other angels questioned Castiel's loyalty to them, to their father, and because of this Uriel was promoted to the role of keeping an eye on Cas down on earth. Castiel, unable to follow the orders anymore, rebels and gets ostracized from heaven. He then allies with Dean, and despite his despondency over the absence of his god and their desperate situation, Castiel continues fighting against the Apocalypse. After his second resurrection by God, with enhanced abilities, he sees his decisions and support of freewill to have been affirmed. Castiel begins to show pride, while remaining somewhat naive with regard to consequences. Crowley successfully manipulated this budding sense of pride to get Castiel to start the a civil war amongst the angels. Castiel becomes dedicated to his own decisions, and tends to ignore everyone else's opinions, even Dean's, in the absence of another visible path. He eventually doublecrosses Crowley, taking in the souls of Purgatory alone. He then insists upon his former friends worshipping him. He intends to be an involved god, a better and loving god who will not abandon the world. He renounces his dedication to free will, saying that angels need a firm hand. He is quick to smite those he feels to be hypocritical and unjust, and rewards those who have faith. But Castiel is being influenced by entities inside him (Leviathans), and his actions become increasingly violent and erratic. He realizes he is not strong enough to contain the power, and because of Sam, he goes to the brothers for help. He is apologetic and humbled; after the souls are out of him he wants to find a way to redeem himself before the brothers. He eventually takes Sam's insanity on himself, freeing Sam. The insanity seems to free Castiel of some of his guilt, making him feel freer, though it leaves his mind scattered. Many things have happened since then, and Castiel is almost like himself again. Though what happened to him has greatly affected what powers he has left. His ability to transport from place to place in seconds being the worst affected and often times he can find himself in the most unlikely places. After everything, he tried to find Dean once more, but by accident he ends up being transported to some random location in the middle of a desert. Not needing any kind of sustenance, he merely walks, trying in vain to find Dean or Sam. ((Just a random note here, I hope this is an acceptable app and I wasn't sure about the whole last name thing seeing as Castiel is just Castiel. Also, I might have him as a teacher in the very near future, but for now he is just a newbie in Little Rock)) |
