[rs=2] | Fire burned several facts into Deans mind at an early age. One: Anything can be taken from you. Two: Evil exists. Three: Sammy would always need him. Four: He would kill ever last one of them. Needless to say, watching your home burn as a child knowing your mother was inside would scar anyone. But the next years as he hunted every manner of evil thing, his mind moved from being totally terrified to cautious, collected and relishing the thrill of the hunt. Slowly knowledge of what he was facing chased the last of terror from his mind. He knew it was dangerous, but he didn’t fear the dark. He knew he was strong. Then all hell broke loose, he lost his Dad and Sam faded in and out of humanity. One of the few people he still trusted half way was Castiel and he just vanished. Sam however, came back. Once angels and demons got all involved they knew they were in over their head. So they founded a school to train future hunters better. Officially Dean is the Assistant Headmaster. Dean is has this shell of aloof uncaring and biting humor, but underneath he worries continually about the future of these students. As a teacher, he tends to torture them just a tad. But that’s just for fun. He cares about those brats more than they know. But when everyone you get close to dies or vanishes, you tend not to show that you care. He is a good Hunter. That’s not one of the abstract questions he struggles with. But… why can’t he truly depend on anyone anymore? He even checks behind Sam… Every relationship falters. While he is on the verge of accepting that he will just one day be lonely, he feels this small flutter of hope telling him he is more than just a tool to kill and be killed one day. He matters to someone who isn’t his brother. But he knows he is no good. Everyone just uses him for what they want and tosses him aside. So he just enjoys the ride and doesn’t let someone in. It is so much easier that way, not getting his hopes up that someone could possibly want him without needing him. Dean is protective and demands respect while being a little cocky and the kind to smirk as he insulted you. He speaks his mind and fears nothing except loosing Sam. When you have been to hell and back, what do you really have to loose? Nothing. Because you realize in the end… it wouldn’t matter anyway. Dean has learned that and he lives only to leave a legacy to keep evil at bay. |
